2011_03_16 Wednesday

Today over dinner, Jonathan told me (verbatim):

My shirt reminds me of getting stuck in the elevator without Oma (presumably when we were in VA on our adventure). I started to cry. I didn't know which button to push, so I yelled "help, help" and "open the doors!!" but no one helped me (here he started welling up) so I punched the door to open it. But that didn't work. Then I pushed the down button. When the door opened, I asked people their names, but neither of them were my Oma. Then I found Oma on the corner. Then I asked if she would drive me home so I could take a little rest, and she said yes.

There's zero truth to his story, but I see a great fiction writer emerging!

I've also been meaning to log that Elise can say "CAT" and mean it. Maybe for the past 4 days or so. Sometimes it's "AT" and sometimes its "KAAAAH" but she knows exactly what she's talking about. She's also been good about "be gentle;" she pats Biggles on the back, rather than yanking the poor cat's ears or fur.
She can stand on her own, although it's not particularly graceful. No steps yet.
And, for some strange reason, she really enjoys being upside down. She'll even fling herself backward to lay on my lap upside down. And, she'll often fling her feet over her head. That gets a little tricky if I'm at all distracted from her.

Better do something with that shirt. We don't want nightmares if he wakes up and sees it.
